A pair of 19th century porcelain gilt metal mounted portrait candlesticks, each painted with an oval portrait panel of a female figure. Height 33 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The metalwork to both candlesticks is dirty and generally tarnished and has lost much of the original gilding. The gilding to the upper ceramic sections is also rubbed and the surface of the glaze is somewhat cloudy. The main columns and bases of both lamps are in better condition from a glaze point of view. There are some minor surface scratches and blemishes and again rubbing to the gilding but no evidence of any chips, significant damage, repairs or restoration.
R Ablott, Loch Achray watercolour on a porcelain base, inscribed with artists name and title verso. 19 x 24 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are some dimples and imperfections to the ceramic surface at the time of firing. There are no cracks or losses to the ceramic. There is a noticeable 1 cm scratch, centre top.
Two Victorian ware and brass mounted oil lamp bases, one with shade. Tallest excluding chimney 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cranberry glass shade has a crack running from the foot rim for about 3 cm. There is also a hole of approximately 1.5 cm square above the crack. The ceramic sections of the same lamp are in generally good order. The reservoir section is a darker colour than the base. All brasswork is tarnished and has lost much of the original finish. There is some crazing to the ceramic areas. The second lamp ceramic sections are all in good order. The same comments apply to the colour of the reservoir. The brassware is similarly tarnished and there is some crazing to the main body.
A late 19th century portrait miniature of Major George Cornwallis West (1874-1951) as a young boy in a white dress, signed M Lister, the frame inscribed M.A.I. Cornwallis West 1883. 9 cm high, together with two German miniatures of ladies in medieval costume on ceramic oval bases, each 8 cm high. NOTE: The portrait miniature of Cornwallis is painted on ivory being pre 1918 and less than 320 cm square has been registered with The Animal and Plant Health Agency and can be legally sold. Reference: 836NNTQV.
An early 19th century giltwood and gesso overmantle mirror, with centre oval bevelled glass, flanked by moulded columns and raised on ceramic feet. Height 84 cm, width 140 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This mirror frame does have the original gilding. It is generally in good condition with only minor rubbing and paint losses and no significant losses to the mouldings. There is some rubbing to the gilding, particularly around the extremities and there are fractures and the usual typical applied moulding fractures as one would expect. The mirror plates would appear to be original.

An interesting group of Caughley and early Coalport porcelain, comprising a transitional period hybrid hard-paste jug, circa 1795-99, transfer-printed in underglaze blue with the 'Three Flowers' pattern, unmarked, 14.5cm high; a John Rose teapot or tureen stand, circa 1795, decorated in overglaze enamel and gilt in the 'Flaming Pearl' pattern, unmarked, 15.3cm wide and a John Rose 'Bell Toy' tea bowl and saucer, possibly a Caughley porcelain body later finished by Rose & Co, saucer 12.5cm diameter and a Coalport fluted spiral fluted tea bowl and saucer, circa 1800, painted with a gilded border containing a continuous band of flowers with black centres, unmarked, saucer 13.5cm; a Caughley 'Fisherman' or 'Pleasure Boat' baking dish, impressed and painted S mark, (riveted repair), 24cm wide; a Full Nankin lobed plate, unmarked, 18cm diameter; a 'Bouquets' mug (broken and repaired), 10.5cm high; a 'Pagoda' tea canister, lacking cover, So mark, 10.5cm high and a Temple coffee pot and cover, 26cm high (extensive body cracks); together with a Worcester 'Fruit and Wreath' coffee pot, lacking cover, crescent mark, 19cm high;(qty) (some damages, repairs)John Rose teapot stand: Ex.
