A large collection Auction Catalogues for Antiques Auctions held by major UK Auction House, Sothebys, mostly from the early 1990s to about 2005 - the most recent 'Golden Age' of British auction sales. None are damp, none are stained, all have their original covers and very few have any corner bumps. Some have printed auction house loose results pages, some have prices achieved written in manuscript - some have neither - an absolute fund of prices, information and images.. whilst bulky and heavy could be of great interest to a private buyer or a dealer. Another smaller jar with large chips to the rims. Two smaller jars with minimal chips to the rim. Heavy wear to the metal rims. Large pink jar with domed cover with a crack to the relief border surrounding the glass label. A couple of the labels are in poor condition. Crazing and staining throughout and a couple of the glass labels have cracks. One of the larger jars is lacking cover and has a large crack and chip running down the piece. Each with impressed marks YG to base.
Four 19th century ceramic apothecary jars including two domed topped examples with two F & R Pratt ware pot lids including Uncle Toby (6).Additional InformationEach of the pot lids are framed so unable to give an accurate condition report on these. The apothecary jars have numerous chips, staining, crazing and wear throughout. One of the blue examples with a large crack running through the body and base.
DOULTON; a 19th century hand painted charger decorated with floral sprays, diameter 34cm, together with a ceramic tobacco jar modelled in the form of a bust, inscribed 'A Mumbles Lifeboatman', height 11cm and a Victorian papier-mâché snuff box decorated with a gentleman's face, length 7.5cm.Additional InformationThe charger is heavily crazed with heavy wear to the decoration. The lifeboat jar with old repairs and crack running through the body. The snuff box hinge has separated, also a large crack running across the bottom section.
