Age: 19/20th century, Description: A pair of Chinese Famille Rose porcelain garden seats the studded barrel form stools each painted in enamel colours with birds, flowers on a white ground and rim bands of fretwork and base lappets. Size: 18.25" h., 46.3 cm. Provenance: Winkworth estate, Montreal. Condition: The stools have been carefully examined both on the exterior and the interior. There is significant wear on the outside surface of the stools visible in the photos. There is dirt and residue to the exterior and interior. No hairlines or restoration is visible upon close inspection. Interior has spider webs which look like lines but they are not in fact any damage. Also the have been tapped to hear the sound all the way around and they sound very good. It is believed they are in structurally perfect condition with only wear and dirt to note. Age: Possibly from Song Dynasty, Dehua Kiln, fujian Description: An interesting and seldom seen scalloped diminutive bowl/dish. The bowl is very elegantly potted with a spiral ribbing and scalloped edges possibly to evoke a stylized flower (chrysanthemum?) , all covered in a clear glaze with a very slight greenish-blue tinge to it, the glaze covering the whole of the dish except under the foot rim which remains unglazed. The overall porcelain is translucent and has a soft pink / orange color when a light is put through it. Size: 4 9/16", 11cm. Provenance: From a French collector, acquired in Paris.
