A large Cranston pottery Art Deco style blue mottled ground jug, a Royal Doulton stone glaze loving cup, a small Doulton lace pattern jug, a miniature Doulton Lambeth Silicon vase, a naive ceramic money box and a hand painted sandwich plate signed to base E. Eaton to base (6). CONDITION REPORT The Cranston jug has a couple of hairline cracks but no other visible signs of damage and the Doulton Silicon vase shows evidence of restoration.

22nd-21st century BC. A large part of a ceramic double-sided pillow-shaped cuneiform tablet with a field plan. For similar tablet with the plan of Umma from the same period see the Louvre Museum, accession number AO 5677. 159 grams, 92mm (3 1/2"). From a London, UK, collection; acquired 1970s. Fair condition.
2nd millennium BC. A hollow-formed ceramic zebu bull figurine with legs extended, hair texture to the rump and forehead, ribbing to the hump; triangular void to the chest. 688 grams, 22cm (8 3/4"). From an important London collection, acquired in the 1970s. In Anatolia, the bull was associated with the storm god Teshub or Tarhun, and drew his chariot. Fine condition.
10th-8th century BC. A large ceramic vessel in the shape of a standing bull, the hollow vessel with cylindrical body and prominent neck hump, the muzzle extending into a long spout, with long horns (one chipped) and small ears below, vertical ridges for the dewlap and tail. 1.9 kg; 37cm (14 1/2"). Property of a Middlesex gentleman; acquired in the 1980s. Fine condition, repaired.
16th-18th century AD. A moulded ceramic figurine of an apsara temple dancer with curled hair to the brow, collar with beaded halter, loose split-front skirt draped from the hips, cotton-reel base hollow to the underside. 3.6 kg, 47.5cm (18 3/4"). Property of a gentleman; from a Mayfair, London, UK, gallery. Fair condition, base chipped, one arm absent.

A ceramic figurine of a horse with one foreleg raised and arched neck on a rectangular base; finely modelled facial details, painted detail to bridle, crupper, harness and saddlecloth with fur detailing; hollow to the underside. 3.8 kg, 39cm (15 1/4"). From the Lawton family collection. Finely modelled.
Tang Dynasty, 618-906 AD. A ceramic horse on a small base with patches of mottled brown paint on the body and darker brown paint on the mane and tail; on the back seated on a saddle is the figure of a young woman in a long tunic with trousers and knee length boot, her hair is gathered into buns on either side of the head, urna on the forehead, blue vertical stripe to front of tunic, traces of orange paint to the tunic sleeves and trousers, boots painted black; towards the rear of the horse is a small dog seated on a cushion. A white-slipped buff ceramic statuette of a sturdy horse standing on a rectangular base with bridle and harness, saddle and stirrups; hollow to the underside, hole to the rump for insertion of a separate tail, slot to rear of neck. 1.2 kg, 27cm (10 1/2"). Ex Miller collection; acquired from Parthenon Gallery, London, in 1999; with original receipt and certificate of authenticity. Fair condition, repaired.

A rectangular ceramic brick with recess to one broad face, seated figure of nimbate Buddha with canopy above, right hand raised in the gesture of reassurance, left hand resting on the knee, bare feet resting on T-shaped pillars. 5.1 kg, 34cm (13 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired before 1980. Fair condition.
Song Dynasty, 960-1127 AD. A rectangular ceramic tile with central recess; dancing figure modelled in the half-round with one arm raised, head reversed, discoid plaque with rosette design and streamer below. 3.6 kg, 28.5 (11 1/4").
