Sir Thomas Brock for Royal Worcester, The Bather Surprised, circa 1875, model 486, a ceramic figure of a semi-clad Classical woman by a tree stump, on a gilt base, impressed T Brock, London, stamped mark and impressed 8b8, 65cm high Note: A native of Worcester, Brock worked for several of the Worcester factories in the 1850s and 60s before completing his professional training under sculptor John Foley in London. His most famous sculptures are the Victoria monument outside Buckingham Palace and the Albert Memorial under Foley. This Worcester figure is a copy of his 1868 sculpture Salamacis. The Worcester version was exhibited at the 1878 Paris Exhibition and was produced in three sizes, this being the largest.
A 19th century KMP ceramic oval plaque depicting a scene with a siren playing a mandolin seated on the rocks and two men drowning in a boat, 16 x 12cm, 29 x 24cm including gilt pierced frame. CONDITION REPORT: Scratches to the surface, one old nibble to the top of the plaque. Frame has losses and splits.

A Cotswold Heritage model of Fury a horizontal Stirling Cycle hot air engine, being gas fired with ceramic burner, gas storage reservoir and being air cooled, disc open crank with polished brass oiler cups and 3 7/8th inch spoked flywheel, power cylinder 5/8th inch diameter by ¾ inch stroke decorative cast metal chimney stack. The whole on cast plinth with builders plaque Heritage No F036 Mounted on plinth with Perspex display case. Engine measurements. Total height including chimney 28cm. Length 28cm Width 10cm. This design of engine was patented in 1816 by Robert and James Stirling.
