An early 20th century Armand Marseille bisque headed doll with open brown glass eyes, painted eyebrows, eyelashes and mouth with front teeth, papier mâché hands (probably replaced), stitched leather body and cloth feet, stamped to back of neck '370A.10.5/0 D.E.P.', length 44cm, and a contemporary ceramic half doll with sawdust body (both af) (2). CONDITION REPORT: Armand Marseille doll has had top of head broken off and lost with major crack below shoulders, glue residue and intensive repair throughout, at least one arm probably replaced as is very crude finish, another arm is with the doll but loose, general wear and soiling to clothes, second doll also heavily worn with internal straw exposed at back and clothes soiled and torn.
