Collection of Coloured Glassware & Pottery, comprising oval grey glass vase 7" x 10", two green glass bottle stoppers, a white and cream mottled tall dish on six twisted legs 10" tall, purple glass dish in pewter surround, 13" tall cream and coloured vase, and four green glass vases, two x 16", 1 x 10", 1 x 8". Together with a Denby oval dish, and a black ceramic oblong planter.
MIRO JOAN: (1893-1983) Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramicist. A.L.S., Miro, one page, 4to, Palma, Mallorca, 13th May 1962, on his personal printed stationery, thin embossed paper, in French. Miro writes to a friend and reports on his daily work with the Ceramicist Artigas and confirms he will pick up his correspondent at the airport, stating in part `…j´ai beaucoup travaillé chez Artigas ces quelques mois, pour vous dire que je vous attendrai aved joie à l´aérogare de Palma le Samedi 19 à 15h15. Dommage que vous ne puissiez pas rester le soir pour aller gouter une bonne paella…´ (Translation: `I have worked a lot at Artigas these few months, to tell you that I will be waiting for you with joy at the Palma terminal on Saturday 19th at 3:15 p.m. What a pity that you can't stay in the evening to taste a good paella…´) VG Josep Llorens I Artigas (1892-1980) Spanish Ceramicist and Critic of art. Artigas and his friend Joan Miró worked together on several well-known large ceramic murals, including those at the Unesco headquarters in Paris, Harvard University, the Barcelona airport and the one on the main façade of the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Madrid.

A Beswick horse, hound and fox ceramic set, comprising a hunt master on horseback, 21cm high, a child on a pony, nine hounds (some with repaired damage AF) and a fox, all marked to the undersides, together with a Beswick ceramic Red Rum horse on a wooden base, 32cm high AF (qty)The huntsman and red rum figure all appear in good condition. The girl on horsback with heavy crazing, notably to the underside. The fox ok. Four hounds with crazing. Two with cracked and crudely glued tails. Three appear ok.
A pair of Elizabeth II silver circular trinket boxes with Wedgwood Jasperware ceramic covers, the covers with cameo's of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, both limited edition, the Queen no. 459/1000 and Phillip no. 69/250, both hallmarked London 1977, both 2.5cm high, total weight 1.99ozt. Two ceramic sculptures of horses and jockeys, both unmarked on naturalistic bases, both approx. 21cm high, a Beswick 'One Man' horse on a wooden base (currently unattached) with a retail box and a limited edition metal sculpture of a horse and jockey by Roland Cameron, sticker to the underside 16.5cm high (4)As catalogued the white Beswick horse unattached from the base, otherwise appears ok. The brown horse sculpture with an ear missing, the other brown example with spots of paint, etc.
