APULIAN RED FIGURE PELIKE SOUTHERN ITALY, C. 340 - 320 B.C. painted ceramic, standing on a ring base, the body piriform, with strap handles and collared neck, on the obverse Eros is shown with his leg resting on a rock, in his left hand he holds a bunch of grapes, in his right a phiale to receive an offering of flowers from the seated lady in front of him, she is dressed in a peplos , her hair adorned and wearing gold jewellery, a loose tainia to the side, the reverse with two youths facing one another, both dressed in a himation and sandals, one holding a staff, both sides bordered by palmettes, a band of rosettes above (Dimensions: 29.3cm tall) Provenance: From an old French collection, acquired mid-19th century, thence by descent. Accompanied by French Export License 209114, a copy of which will be provided to the winning bidder.

Pre WW2 German 1936 Berlin Olympics ceramic souvenir bell. White ceramic bell, measuring 12cm high, with blue maker mark (KPM Porcelain Manufactory). German eagle with rings and Brandenburg Gate in Berlin between dates of 1936 Olympiad, motto "I call the youth of the world" below. Retains clapper inside. Excellent condition.
A PAIR OF LATE 20TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL POTTERY VASES, with gilt mounts, of urn form with acanthus leaf handles, marked "Ace decor de Paris", 47cm high Condition report: ceramic part on both good, no chips, cracks or restoration, metal ware good, only issue is the pineapple finial on top of one vase is bent over slightly.

Our vendor is a titled businessman, I imagine it was a gift presentation, which stayed in the box, unused, seeing the light of day in his recent house move.
