Suzanne Ring Caplan, The Pig of Market Harborough, a coloured print 62cm x 82cm, signed in pencil, together with a framed press cutting from 1991. The original Wymss ceramic pig was seen for many years in the High Street shop of Duncalfe's Antiques in the 1960s/80s, unable to purchase it when visiting Market Harborough American artist Suzanne Caplan painted the pig on returning to America. The pigs adventures continued to Harrogate, Scotland and is thought to now reside in Australia. It is not known where the original painting now is.
A Chinese ceramic bowl, Qing dynasty, early 19th century, of squat ovoid form with everted rim, raised on three squared feet, decorated in sea green and blue hare's fur glaze, with turned domed hardwood cover and associated pierced wooden stand, bowl 17.5 by 9cm, 17.5 by 17cm overall.Provenance: Purchased by the vendor's grandfather, an Antiques Auctioneer, between 1920s and 1940s.
