A Victorian carved oak wind action extending dining table, the rectangular top with rounded corners and drop-in leaves, above four solid foliate carved and turned cylindrical legs, terminating on ceramic castors, approx. 235x123cm fully extended. CONDITION REPORT: Heavily worn leaves, table top and legs. Top is loose and warped in need of attention, winding action seems to work fine.
ESIAS BOSCH (1923-2010): A CERAMIC LUSTRE TILE decorated overall with flowerheads against a gilt pattern, framed 41cm high, 42cm wide excluding frame Esias Bosch studied at WITS and won a three year scholarship to study ceramics in Britain. Returning to South Africa, Bosch became one of the pioneers in South African pottery. Best known for his wall tiles, the above is a smaller example to the large ones he produced. Inspired by Monet and Bonard, Bosch tiles often depict birds, animals, landscapes and insects.

ALLACH DECORATIVE PLATEDecorative ceramic plate made at the SS-owned Allach factory at Dachau which was staffed with slave laborers. The 13" diameter plate bears a sky blue bowl with a 1 1/2" unglazed rim bearing runic swirls and triangles. The underside of the plate bears a speckled green glaze and presents the stylized SS runes of the Allach factory. Fine.
BRITISH BULLDOG ANTI-NAZI FIGURINEWhite ceramic figurine, approx. 4 1/2" x 5", depicting a British "bulldog" with painted features, with a painted NSDAP flag in its bared teeth. The figure is stamped "1021" on the base, and bears a fine crackling to the glaze overall. Some minor chipping to the paint on the flag, else very good.
