A late Victorian stained hardwood collectors' cabinet, circa 1900, with six drawers containing various spices and specimens; a Victorian Pratt Ware Ross & Sons Genuine Bears Grease pot lid, 7.5cm high; two further pot lids; and a quantity of other items of pharmaceutical interest, including three Italian ceramic jars, an early 20th century Boots branded glass bottle, and other itemsProvenance: from the Estate of the late Donald SparshottCondition Report: The Ross & Sons pot lid has two small chips to the rear, and the rear is mostly clean though has some minor marks which can presumably be cleaned. It has two tiny shallow chips/nibbling to the bottom edge. The gilding is a little rubbed on the edge of the scene around the writing, with loss of gilding to one side (about 4-5cm loss), and there are the usual minor marks, knocks and scratches overall. There are a handful of tiny raised dots on the surface, possibly irregularities in the ceramic or glaze. There is a diagonal line across the bear's neck, where the colour of the print is a little lighter. This may be loss of colour due to wear or printing, and it does not appear to be a damage to the ceramic itself.The colour is quite well preserved and the item is in overall presentable condition.Condition Report Disclaimer

Hinton, each depicting two spaniel gun dogs looking at partridge and pheasant game birds in flight, one signed lower left, the other lower right, brown printed factory marks and painted number '0929' to backs, each 18 by 23.5cm, in gilt slip and wide oak frame, 34 by 39.5cm. (2)Heavily crazed throughout, there is some discolouration to the top right of one plaque.
A group of five pot lids, comprising one titled 'I see you my boy', one with four dogs spilling a boiling cauldron , one with a fish and a lobster grabbing a cat with its claw, a fish seller and his cart, and a coastal scene with fisherman unloading their catch, together with a Danish ceramic bowl with red lustre glaze, incised maker's mark, 18.5 by 7.5cm high, and a red clay teapot, with impressed heart shaped decoration, list out strainer, cover, and two loops for the handle, 17cm high. Two Victorian brass paraffin lamps, one with brass reservoir and unusual base with four column on a square foot, yellow to clear graduated etched glass shade and clear glass chimney, 74cm high, and the other with an embossed brass body, on a black glazed ceramic circular base, clear etched glass shade and clear chimney, 57.5cm high. (2)Both shades have some chips to rim and air bubbles but the yellow shade has more prominent chips to its upper rim. The brass bases both have small indentations and usage marks.
A late 20th century Chinese ceramic vase, circa 1970, of baluster form with applied handles modelled as pomegranates, decorated with figures, bats and flowers, and a scroll held by a dragon with calligraphic script, brick red on black ground, red printed figure mark to base 'You Xian Ju Jianzhi', 21 by 36cm high.
