CHANEL: A LADIES J12 CERAMIC AND DIAMOND WRISTWATCH, the white dial with diamond dot numerals, date aperture and sweep seconds hand, the centre with pave-set diamonds, inscribed "Chanel" and outer seconds bezel, attached to a ceramic bracelet with folding clasp, in a fitted Chanel presentation case, with certificate, guarantee booklet and card dated 22nd April 2009.
An Art Deco period hand-decorated ceramic female Figure Model in a medieval style hat with long sash above a yellow and white alternating dress, a green handbag is carried in her right hand, signed to underside in handwritten black, 'Lenci, Made in Italy, Turino' and with possible date (indistinct) of 8/11/31, some paint flaking to black plinth base, 31cm high CONDITION REPORT: There are small flecks of paint away from the black base (see images), the main porcelain body itself looks in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration noted. The body is quite dirty which comes off fairly easily, there is a very tiny piece of glaze away to the tip of the ladies finger on her left hand otherwise in good reasonable overall condition.
ADDED LOT A large pair of 19th century Aesthetic style ceramic Planters; 40cm high x 37cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: One of the vases has several large hairlines running right down from the top into the bottom of the vase. It looks as if it has been re-affixed at some stage. This vase has also been repaired with rivets. The other vase also has hairlines emanating from the top travelling towards the middle of the bottom of the vase. Both vases are quite dirty and some surface scratching. Unfortunately both of these vases are not in good condition.
ADDED LOT Two 19th century Majolica ceramic Planters, one decorated with dragons in the Chinese style, the other in the Aesthetic style with flowers etc.; the larger 44cm high x approx. 42cm diameter (widest) CONDITION REPORT: Large Chinese style ceramic Jardiniere - Not great condition inside, lots of glaze and some of the body of the piece is away on the inside of the Chinese style piece, there is significant cracking to the base, the companion aesthetic style piece is also severely discoloured to the inside and also has glaze crazing and several chips to the square block feet.
ADDED LOT A Chinese ceramic Garden Seat, pierced Shou character to top, the sides both pierced and decorated in relief with birds, butterflies, flowers etc. in green against a claret ground, 48cm high CONDITION REPORT: Significant cracks, restoration, glaze crazing and paintwork away etc., (see images).
ADDED LOT Two 19th century ceramic Plant Stands, the smaller modelled as granite with a mosaic design, the larger modelled as variegated marble with an angular running Guilloche design, the larger 69cm CONDITION REPORT: The larger stand appears in reasonable general good overall original condition but if you turn it over there is a 4cm triangular shaped piece of glaze away to the underside. The rest of this looks quite good condition wise with no major problems noted, the smaller of the two stands is very stained around the bottom of the base and has hairline cracks visible from the underside. There is also a thumb sized piece of ceramic away from the circular mosaic base. Condition generally commensurate with age.
ADDED LOT A large late-19th century ceramic Jardiniere Stand modelled as a Chinese table-on-stand, overall cobalt blue glaze, 93cm high CONDITION REPORT: Looking at the top there is quite a lot of surface scratching and glaze away to the circular top. One of the legs half way down has a large piece of ceramic away from it, there is light surface scratching to some parts and some glaze away etc. The rest of the piece looks in reasonable condition which is generally commensurate with age.
A small collectors' lot comprising two pairs of field glasses, one with engine turned tortoiseshell coloured enamel detail, two pairs of opera glasses, a wooden handled manual cutting/carving tool, a hand painted heart shaped papier-mâché trinket box, a smaller modern ceramic trinket box and three glass paperweights, two signed for Caithness.
