A French pearl and diamond set glazed ceramic cherry blossom brooch, comprising a central round cultured pearl with a surround of yellow metal stamens set with small eight-cut diamonds set to a ceramic flower, 2.2cm wide, stylized yellow metal stem, total length of brooch 4.2cm, simple hinged pin and loop fastening to reverse, weight 6.4gmsCR; All stones are present and in tact, no cracks, chips or losses. One diamond shows a natural. All settings and surrounding stamen decoration is in tact and secure. There are some nicks, small chips and wear to the highpoints on the of the flower (see pictures). Some wear to the gilt highlight on the edges of the petals. the stem is in good order, the hinged pin is slightly bent to the tip but is in good working order. No signs of repair. Piece would benefit from professional cleaning.
