A good early Victorian mahogany oval extending dining table. Fitted with three extra leaves and raised on turned baluster legs with patent brass and ceramic castors, the mechanism with applied label for Samuel Hawkins, Kingsland, London, height 74cm, overall length 340cm, width 137.5cm.The top is straight when extended, the top has been repolished at some point, the centre leaves are darker than the ends.The height to the skirt is 58.5cm.The winding action is good and retains the winding handle, the runners are smooth with little movement.There are a few marks and knocks, especially around the edge of the top, the castors are stout and run freely.
A gilt bronze Regency grand tour inkstand of sarcophagus form. With applied Egyptian motifs, four ring handles, ceramic and blue glass inserts on twin pedestal supports, height 8cm, width 21cm depth 10cm.The white ceramic liner is cracked and crazed, the blue glass example is cracked and chipped, the third liner is presumably missing.The whole piece is generally discoloured and marked and the internal metal fittings are rusty, one of the ring handles swivels on its mount.

There is one crack extending vertically downwards from the rim, approximately three inches. There's one large chip to the upper rim, and numerous chips and losses to the painted decoration throughout, especially along the upper rim. There are losses to paint along the interior of the bowl as well. There are a few areas of discoloration along the interior of the bowl. Wear throughout including craquelure to the paint and scratches, consistent with regular use.
