A Victorian figured walnut quatrefoil card table, with folding top having green baize lining, plain moulded frieze and supported on French cabriole legs with foliate and scroll carving, the 'rear' leg with draw out action, on brass and ceramic castors, 72cm high, 100cm wide. Upon initial inspection generally a good colour but there is blackening marks and wear with surface scratches and slight lifting to veneer in areas. Other scratches marks castors probably original but with some signs of wear, baize is stained but early, some cracking to centre, slight lifting, little tired overall but may need attention, otherwise scratches and wear mainly to extremities.

Rizu Takahashi (Japanese, b.1941),a tohro and an ikebana vase, stoneware and wood-fired, both with incised signatures, 56.5cm and 41cm high (2)Born in Japan, Takahashi's career stems from the mountainous Mizunami area, once part of the ancient Mino Province famed for its ceramic tradition. In 2004, he moved to France, taking with him his decades of expert craftsmanship, kiln-building and firing knowledge.Condition report: Great condition. No faults detected.

An expert in crystalline and flambé glazes, he was responsible for some of the best pieces to come from the manufactory.Condition report: Some soft scuffing and scratches to the shoulder of the vase. Some spotting on the glaze - otherwise no issues for condition.
