Good 19th Century artist's brass-bound mahogany box, Newman's Manufactory, the hinged cover with brass corners and central cartouche enclosing embossed wine hide landscape panel, over removable tray containing three rows of eight wrapped and unused colours, with ceramic mixing pots beneath, further rectangular ceramic mixing palette, glass pots, metal tin with sliding cover, two glass bottles etc, above vacant base drawer, the whole in unused condition, 30.5cm x 23cm x 9cm high Condition: Excellent. **General condition consistent with age
Mid 19th Century brass-framed 'Cathedral' skeleton timepiece with passing strike, with 6-inch pierced Roman chapter ring, the triple-spire frame of four-pillar design with four-spoke wheel work, chain-driven single fusee movement, and bell surmount with pike staff striker, on stepped white marble base beneath glass dome, 42cm high overall Condition: Chapter ring is currently cream painted and may originally been silvered. Hands appear to be of later date. Frame appears sound, movement untested and sold as seen. Ceramic feet to marble base maybe of later date, and glass some maybe associated.
