STANISLAS REYCHAN (1897-1994) A collection of eight Studio pottery figures and pots in ceramic and one in cast resin. Impressed or incised marks. Tallest 26cm. Born in Vienna in 1897, Stanislas moved to London in 1940, studied at first at St Martin's School of Art and later at The Central School under Dora Billington. Exhibited at RA from 1955-60
MARGARET HINE (1927-1987) (ARR) A ceramic figure of a goat, manganese glaze with white line and circle detail. Painted 'Margi Hine' underneath. (chipped tail, one reglued horn, firing fault to one side and reglued to one leg) 19cm high x 24cm long. Provenance - From Robert (Bob) Muller, the former owner of The Studio Club, Swallow Street, Piccadilly where this piece was exhibited in 1954 which featured works by 'The Picassoettes' - Newland, Margaret Hine and Nicholas Vergette, thence by decent to present owner.
WILLIAM NEWLAND (1919-1998) (ARR) A ceramic figure of a bull, manganese glaze with white line and circle detail. Painted signature to the underside. (Reglued tail section, chip to one foot) 24.5cm high x 20.5cm long. Provenance - From Robert (Bob) Muller, the former owner of The Studio Club, Swallow Street, Piccadilly where this piece was exhibited in 1954 which featured works by 'The Picassoettes' - Newland, Margaret Hine and Nicholas Vergette, thence by decent to present owner.
