MONARCH OF THE GLEN (RICHARD BRIARS AND SUSAN HAMPSHIRE)- The Michael Elliott trust presented a Highland gathering at The Stirk House Hotel in Gisbaurn, Lancashire, the event was to present the award to the post popular TV series over the last few years. During the filming of Monarch of the Glen Susan Hampshire used to collect their favourite Highland donkeys from a local gift shop near the location, this is their collection and a tribute to the work that Susan has done for the charity. This lot consists of ten handmade ceramic models of donkeys bought by Susan and Richard for the trust. (illustrated)

CHRIS DE BURGH- Three donkeys along with three children and a horse box donated to the trust by Chris de Burgh set off on a fund raising journey from Galway Bay in Ireland to Manchester. At the end of the journey Chris put on two special concerts at the Bridgewater Hall. This lot comprises of twelve various bronzed, ceramic and other donkey sculptures that were given along the way on the walk, together with a large scale laminated photograph of the event.
