Mercedes Lucy Swan 1, 2025 Ceramic Signed on Verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) About My practice revolves around ceramics, a medium I am drawn to for its physicality, diversity, and connection to both art and craftsmanship. I create a wide range of objects, sculptures, and illustrations, exploring both 2D and 3D forms through drawing, painting, and murals. I handmake tiles; I find the unique blend of utility and creativity deeply satisfying. My designs stem from a mix of imagination and observations of life around me, often infused with tongue-in-cheek humour. My work reflects themes of domesticity, feminism, motherhood, grief, and identity. I embrace the slow, intentional process of ceramics as a counterbalance to my natural urge to rush, while creating art that carries a sense of purpose. For me, this blend of functionality and creativity helps navigate the often-unspoken guilt associated with making art that might not traditionally be considered "necessary." Through my art, I aim to merge shape, perspective, and form, crafting pieces that resonate with the complexities of life while bringing joy and utility to the everyday. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any works. In doing so, you endanger our relationships with artists and directly jeopardise the charitable work we do.

Kelly Jessiman I Miss You, 2025 Stoneware Glazed Ceramic Signed on Verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) About St Leonards-on-Sea-based Kelly Jessiman builds her forms at the family dinner table, and each piece is fired and glazed in her garden shed. She takes a wide range of inspiration from contemporary paintings and ancient artefacts. Each stage is an organic process; the clay often takes on a life of its own, which leads to the final form, and from there, she decides how it will be glazed. Often glazed with hidden notes written on and scratched into the glaze, overlapped with drawings and good luck charms or superstitious markings warding off evil. Kelly enjoys the process of pottery and the unpredictable outcomes it presents. Her pieces are experimental, playing with the juxtaposition of neatly made traditional shapes against the organic imperfections inherent in the act of hand-building. Kelly's background is in fine arts, where she studied foundation art at Chelsea School of Art and went on to study BA Fine Art Sculpture at Camberwell School of Art. Mercedes Lucy Eagle 1, 2025 Ceramic Signed on Verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) About My practice revolves around ceramics, a medium I am drawn to for its physicality, diversity, and connection to both art and craftsmanship.

Cas Campbell Hidden Rivers (Contd. 2), 2025 Recycled paper and pigments on paper Signed on Verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) About Cas Campbell's works explore the places where nature, ancient history, mythology and queer culture meet. Using intricate, transformative material processes, she creates paintings and wall hangings from paper pulp, alongside installations and ceramic pieces. Works are formed through cyclical, ritualistic techniques: colour is applied from mineral pigments, oak gall ink, and gathered material, and old pieces are reworked and recycled into new ones. Campbell (b. 1995) grew up in New Zealand and works between London and Brighton, UK. She holds an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art (2022), and a BA from the University of Brighton (2018). Campbell is a recipient of an Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice grant and an A-N Artist Bursary, and has been shortlisted for the Chaiya Art Awards and the Visual Open Art Awards. Recent residencies include Studio Verde's 'Art and Ecology' in Italy and Sachaqa Centro de Arte in the Peruvian Amazon. Campbell's work is included in several public and private collections, including the Soho House Brighton collection of queer art. She has exhibited in the UK and internationally.   Education 2020 - 2022 MA in Painting, Royal College of Art, London, UK 2015 - 2018 BA in Painting, University of Brighton, Brighton, UK   Solo Exhibitions 2024 Hidden Rivers, Redkite Floating Gallery, London, UK   Group Exhibitions 2024 Fair Ground, Glyndebourne, Lewes, UK Walk While You Have The Light, Safehouse 1, London, UK Can you Afford to Pay Attention? VALDIVIA FIGURE ECUADOR, C. 2300 - 2000 B.C. carved limestone, block-like, cubist form and recessed grooves indicating the stylised form, scattered surface deposits 22.8cm tall Private collection, Indianapolis, United States, 1997Marianne and Robert Huber, New York, United States, 1980’s - 1997Jacobus van Diemen 1970s - 1980sAndrade Collection pre 1970s One of the earliest sculptural traditions of the ancient Americas originated with the Valdivia culture, which began around 3550 B.C. along the Pacific coast of what is now Ecuador. Valdivian artists crafted figures from both stone and ceramic, depicting men, women, and animals in an array of sizes. Their work often featured stylised forms, blending naturalistic elements with symbolic abstraction. Sculptures like this one are believed to represent a stylised owl, possibly imbued with supernatural significance possibly linked to the bird’s nocturnal habits.Examples of Valdivian sculpture can be found in the collections of esteemed sculptors Henry Moore and Antony Gormley, both of whom admired the simplicity and profound symbolism of Valdivia art. Moore, known for his organic and abstract forms, drew inspiration from the primal and timeless qualities of such artefacts, recognising their ability to convey universal themes with minimal detail. For similar please see: Minneapolis Institute of Art, accession number 2004.104.2
