AN OUTSIDE DECORATED CHAMBERLAIN~S WORCESTER |BELL SHAPED LION HEAD| VASE painted with a rectangular panel of flowers including a prominent passion flower on a primrose ground in raised gilt border reserved on a deep green ground and with gilt lion mask handles^ on square foot^ 15cm h^ inscribed and dated in puce script Painted by S Hayton March 1824 The Chamberlain Factory~s books record the supply of blank porcelain and ceramic colours to a Mr & Mrs C Hayton of Moreton^ Hereford between May 1821-March 1825. These include |two second [size] Regent Bell-Mouth ornaments at a price of £1.4.0d. The Haytons returned the painted wares to the factory for gilding^ burnishing and firing. A French porcelain and ormolu clock garniture, late 19th century, the clock with urn surmount, painted ceramic dial bearing Roman numerals, eight day movement half hour striking on a bell, domed case with scroll and wreath handles, raised on a rectangular base and lions paw feet,, 34cm, with two matching urns of baluster form, with ram's head handles, reserve painted with rural scenes against a burgundy ground, 28cm high.
