Kobron was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1970. In the beginning of his career, Iwo was dedicated to painting, but in 1994 he definitely abandoned it to pursue the pure form in ceramic sculpture. However, one year into college, after discovering a love for clay, Brett decided to switch his focus to ceramics. In the autumn of 2007 Brett studied overseas as part of the WVU/Jingdezhen Ceramics Institute exchange program in Jingdezhen, PRC. In 2010 Brett received his Masters of Fine Arts from WVU. While maintaining his teaching career in the USA, Brett continues to show nationally and regionally.
