AN AMUSING STAFFORDSHIRE FLATBACK COUNTRY COURTSHIP GROUP, C1860, THE FARMER'S DAUGHTER EMBRACING THE SWAIN PRECARIOUSLY BALANCED AT AN UPPER STOREY WINDOW WHILST THE FARMER LIES IN WAIT BELOW, 30CM H Small chip on one chimney pot and on base, small spot of flaking to brown enamel on front door and some typical but slight chipping of the ceramic tufts on the base.
An 18 ct gold foliate engraved fob watch, with ceramic dial, knob wind, diameter 38 mm. CONDITION REPORT: The inner dust cover is not hallmarked. The watch is not inscribed. The movement winds but is not currently ticking away. There are no cracks to the dial. The case does have several dents particularly to the outer circumference. The front and back do however snap closed correctly as they should. Gross weight 38.5 grams.
A silver mounted scent bottle, London hallmark 1903, together with another cut glass scent bottle and a silver mounted pounce pot, the ceramic base by Moore & Co, Birmingham 1886. CONDITION REPORT: The ceramic pounce pot is in good condition with no issues. The silver cap fits snuggly in position. There are no chips or cracks. There is no damage to the silver lid. The globular scent bottle is in generally good order. The glass base is in good condition with only very minor bottom edge nibbles. The glass stopper is in good order. The embossed lid is a little misshapen but does push into place as it should. The tall thin scent bottle is again in generally good condition. The silver mount has one small dent. The stopper is in good condition although it sits in the aperture at a slight angle.
A Victorian mahogany extending dining table, rectangular, with rounded corners, moulded edge and raised on tapered reeded legs terminating in brass and ceramic castors and complete with two leaves. Height 72 cm, height to underside of frieze 59 cm. The width is 103 cm. The length extended is 150 cm. The single leaf is 40 cm (included in the 150 cm). CONDITION REPORT: The dimensions of this table are incorrect in the catalogue. There is only one leaf. The height to the tabletop is correct at 72 cm. The height to the underside of the frieze is 59 cm. The width is 103 cm. The length extended is 150 cm. The single leaf is 40 cm (included in the 150 cm). The wind out action does operate but is a little sticky. The tabletop has been re-polished and has a slightly varnishy surface. It is however in generally reasonably good order with only minor surface scratches and marks as one would expect. The moulded edge is in good condition all round. The recessed frieze is missing the bottom edge moulding at one end. The table is structurally sound with no loose leg joints. The castors are original.
A Victorian mahogany extending dining table of moulded circular form, with 2 additional leaves raised on turned tapering legs with brass caps and ceramic castors, 78 cm high x 132 cm closed x 120 cm, the additional leaves measuring 55 cm and 48 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. It is a fairly uniform colour. There are some minor blemishes to the top surface but no serious condition issues with the dining area. The legs are all secure. There are no loose joints. The castors are original. The frieze is in good condition all round with no moulding losses. The area around the winding aperture has the usual nibbles that one would expect. The table is in unrestored condition and has all of the usual minor scuffs and marks that one would expect form a table of this age.
