An Austrian Art Deco style silver pill box,late 20th century, of oval form, the lid with a turquoise ceramic cabochon, struck to the underneath with Austrian hallmarks, 4cm wide, together with a Continental silver gilt box,of rectangular form, engine-turned sides, to one side with a monogrammed circular cartouche, with import marks for London 1926, 6cm high From the private collection of a Cambridge Gentleman.Condition ReportThe silver gilt box with some tarnish and wear. The Austrian example with scratches and marks.
A rare Elers Brothers red stoneware tea canister, 1690-98, slip cast and moulded in relief in the chinoiserie taste with four panels of Chinamen, ho-ho birds and blossoming foliage, 10.5cm high A similar example is illustrated on the cover of The English Ceramic Circle's 'British Ceramic Design, 1600-2002', (London, 2003), in Marno (Felicity), 'Tea has become a great commodity here': The introduction of tea and the development of its wares, in the ECC's Fire and Form: The Baroque and its Influence on English Ceramics c. 1660-c. 1760, (London, 2013), page 66, and Elliott (Gordon), John and David Elers and their Contemporaries, (Jonathan Horne, London, 1998), figure 3B. Very good condition for its age. Traces of former mounting, its cover now lacking. Slight firing stresses and occasional blemishes. The edges with small surface abrasions and grime. A very small flat chip, apparently contemporary to manufacture.

A lovely arts & crafts mantel clock with Le Ray Feys 2 train spring driven movement chiming on a gong. Lovely ceramic blue 4 1/2" dial with Arabic numerals & flowers in the centre. Cast brass bezel & bevelled glass. Movement serial number 21255. Contained in an on the top oak case, with brass decorations 4 brass capped glass pillars in the style of Lewis Foreman. Dimensions 15" x 9" x 4 1/2" Condition report: Good condition. Restored by the owner, some crazing on the dial. Movement not tested

A rare pre-Columbian sheet gold headdress or breast plate, possibly Moche culture, Northern Peru, A.D. 200 - 850, of crescent shape, suspended with hand cut discs, the centre repousse worked with the figure of a warrior holding a war club in each hand, and wearing a crescent-shaped headdress and circular earflares,Compare a gold mounted earflare in the Metropolitan Musem of Art, New York, decorated with a similar figure wearing a similar crescent shaped headdress and earflares to the figure on the breast plate. War clubs are prominent in Moche representations of battles and ceremonies, but they also appear to have served as generalized symbols of power; on occasion ceramic representations of war clubs adorned the rooflines of buildings. 36cm wide 9.7cm high, weight 130g***CONDITION REPORT***Provenance - Ken Paul who collected Asian, American and European antiques from the 1950s to 1980s to hire as props in movies and television, thence by family descent.
