An impressive mid-19th Century French cast bronze eight day mantle clockThe drum clock with an 11cm white enamelled dial centred with the maker's name, Samuel Marti, Paris (1868-1870), the dial painted with Roman and Arabic numerals and applied with gilt fretwork hands, surmounted with a cast figure of the goddess Diana and a cherub upon a shaped plinth base applied with ceramic plaques, each decorated with either musical instruments or cherubs, the two train movement stamped Medaille striking on a saucer bell, striking on the half hour along with the numbers on the hour, 37cm high.

A late 19th Century French lacquered brass cased clock garniture the eight day movement by Japy Freres of Paris the painted pottery dial depicting hummingbirds amongst foliage with mud and straw huts on far bank of river the garnitures similarly decorated to the cylindrical main bodies CONDITION REPORTS Light surface scratches to the ceramic on both of the garnitures and to the ceramic panel on the clock. Light surface scratches to the brass and some small areas of tarnishing. A couple of tiny dents to the brass on the front left corner of the clock. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details. Unable to state whether or not the clock is in full working order.
