Each hand painted with pink & teal mottled decoration and yellow & black speckled patternation. Stamped to base Beswick Ware Made In England 188. An antique 19th Century Swedish upholstered shell back lounge chair / easy chair or bedroom chair having a shaped scroll shell back with button backrest. Upholstered in a rich damask pink silk with acanthus leaves and botanical detailing. All raised on turned wooden legs with white ceramic castors. In very good condition with some minor wear to the legs. A great example. Measures 91cm x 61cm x 70cm.
A scarce original early 1900s classic car touring picnic hamper. The hamper complete with all items, including the silver plate dishes, warmers, cutlery and ceramic trays. Glass items neatly bound in wicker, the items held in place by leather straps. Housed in its original travel case, marked ' Sewell ' to top. Likely a custom made piece, similar to those sold by Asprey (this set unmarked). A fine example.
