T.L.S., John, with holograph salutation and subscription, one page, 8vo, n.p., July 1976, to Peter (sic; Petra). The printed text reads, in full, ‘Our friend on the foldover will arrive one day full size (and in colour) on a big ceramic ashtray as a memento of our association. It’s an original by Paul Bakshi and the whole process got completely out of hand from a time standpoint, but it will arrive and I do hope you’ll like it.’ To the verso is an illustration of an eagle who appears to have ‘crash landed’ with the United States and Great Britain flags in his beak. A large ormolo mounted 18th century ceramic padded satin lined jewel casket, the black ground decorated in the grotesque manner, surmounted by a blue scene of Pegasus carrying a Muse, the mounts having masks and paw feet. Some restorations. Impressed mark " Monterau, L.M&G ". Painted mark " H " or " HL "monogram, 27 x 17 x 20 cm high.

A late 19th century mahogany dining table, the oval top with moulded rim and extending to accommodate a single extra leaf and raised on a pair of ring turned baluster columns each with a pair of conforming slender columns supported by serpentine moulded outswept legs with brown ceramic castors (approx 190cms extended)

A Good Assortment of Treen Items: A 19th century sycamore butter worker with slightly dished base centred by a shaped handle 4 ins (10 cms) in height. Three cream scoops; 6¾ ins, 7 ins and 8 ins (17 cms, 18 cms & 20 cms) in diameter. A treen bowl 6 ins (15 cms) in diameter. Two treen platters 8¾ ins and 9 ins (22 cms and 23 cms) in diameter. A wide treen shovel or crumb pan 15½ ins (39.5 cms) long. A horn spoon carved with scalloped decoration; 7½ ins (19 cms) in length. A pair of treen spoons and a paddle approximately 10 ins (26 cms) each in length. A smaller treen spoon, 8 ins (21 cms). A ceramic jelly mould impressed with a bunch of grapes 7½ ins x 5½ ins x 3½ ins (19 cms x 14 cms x 9 cms). An 18th century wrought iron rush nip with candle socket; the twisted stem driven into a heavy ball turned base, 11 ins (28 cms) in height. [15] *
