Inside, iron glaze in khaki tones, dark brown and with crystal structure. Wide shape with almost vertical walls, rounded at the bottom and with turning grooves, on a small foot with spiral. LARGE TEA BOWL (CHAWAN) IN RED BLACK RAKU. Japan. 19th c. Brownish stoneware with chamotte with black-red glaze. In the glaze diagonal scratch marks as pattern. Irregular kutsugata shape, probably formed by hand (tebineri) and reworked on the well. Further, hand formed foot ring, with spiral. Gold lacquer repairs of firing cracks.
