(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The leather inset top is in very poor condition with heavy stains, marks, rips and losses. However the table overall appearing complete with general wear and tear. Some minor fading commensurate with age.

(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Overall appearing in good condition, some minor damage/cracks to the raised back. Wear and tear and scratches commensurate with use.

VICTORIAN SATIN BIRCH DAVENPORT DESK in the manner of Pugin, having raised super structure with hinged cover revealing ink wells, pen tray and letter compartments, the slope front with inset tooled leather surface revealing a fitted interior of drawers and pigeon holes, four moulded drawers to one side with opposing dummies, the lower front with a moulded foliate panel, flanked by cluster column foliate moulded supports on projecting feet with recessed white ceramic casters. 60 x 69 x 112cm approx. Note: Family Provenance, previously owned by Rhys Davies, High Sheriff of Breconshire in the 1920's who owned collieries in Abercraf close to Craig Y Nos the home of the opera singer Adelina Patti. Believed in the family that he acquired the davenport from Craig Y Nos probably after Adelina Patti died. He later funded the building of a gallery extension to Craig Y Nos to enable TB patients to walk and get fresh air, after it was converted from a private home to a hospital. By family descent thereafter during which period it has been known as 'the Patti Bureau'.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: General wear with age, rather scuffed, grubby and worn. Some cracks to the fall with age. Crack to base of interior. No significant damage or losses.

Together with a pair of rococo style bronzed spelter two handled vase shaped supporters having relief scrollwork decoration on square black veined marble bases with gilt metal feet. The supporters 33cm high approx. (3) (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: General wear, rather grubby with age. No serious damage noted. One handle to fish basket may be missing.
