A collection of Chinese miscellaneous items 20th century, comprising: a wood carving, of Shoulao surrounded by children and a crane, on a wood stand, 19.5cm high, a soapstone seal, 10.5cm high, a blue and white seal paste box, 8cm diameter, and a bronze bodhisattva, 11.5cm high (4) Condition ReportWood figure - a split to the prunus branch. Inserted eyes missing in various locations. The seal paste has stained the boxes and seal and also the ceramic box it is in has some red staining on the outside.Please see additional images.

TWO EMBROIDERED PANELS AND A PAINTINGComprising: an embroidery of a bird on a branch, amongst scattered fruiting and blossoming branches, flower baskets, a central shou emblem and seals, reputedly by Nellie Ionides (1883-1962); a blue-ground silk satin fragment woven with gold thread to depict the lower portion of a five-clawed dragon, 17th century; and a painting on silk of a parrot perched on a rock issuing chrysanthemum flowers and lingzhi fungus, all framed. The bird embroidery 81.5cm (32 1/8in) high x 104cm (41in) wide. (3).Footnotes:緞繡片及畫Provenance: The bird on a branch panel: Nellie Ionides (1883-1962) (by repute)Acquired from John Sparks Ltd circa 1991Nellie Ionides (1883-1962) was the daughter of Shell Oil magnate Sir Marcus Samuel and a noted collector of Kangxi porcelain. Members of the Oriental Ceramic Society visited Mr and Mrs Ionides' collection of Chinese porcelain in July 1947. She left Chinese porcelain to the V&A Museum, the British Museum and to the Brighton Pavilion. The embroidered panel was reputedly completed during the Second World War and gifted to John Sparks Ltd of whom Ionides was a long standing client.
