A late Victorian mahogany Aesthetic Movement octagonal centre table, with moulded edge top over four set-back inverted baluster turned uprights and concave sided undertier, above rosette carved blocks issuing angled square tapered supports at each corner, with turned X-stretcher and on ceramic castors, 72cm high, 88cm wide.

A GN/LNW Joint 3-aspect (GNR pattern) large HANDLAMP. The body, stamped "GNR 9066", bears two brass plates lettered "Great Northern Railway Company LONG CLAWSON No.3" and "GN&L& NW Joint Lines". The reducing-cone is also stamped "GNR 9066", and additionally bears an oval brass plate "Thomas Knight & Co. Highgate Works, Birmingham". Integral vessel; brass/ceramic burner; reflector, double pie-crust top and all glasses. A very rare lamp in fine original condition. Long Clawson station, on the Newark - Melton Mowbray line, opened in 1879; was renamed "Long Clawson and Hose" in 1884, and closed in 1953.

In original condition including some re-soldering. The lens cone is stamped "MR. John Levick Birmingham" so is obviously a replacement.

A Great Central Railway 3-aspect HANDLAMP. The body, stamped "GCR 23645T", bears a large rectangular brass plate stamped "GCR 23645 BARNBY DUN". Complete with bullseye lens; GCR (stamped) vessel; GCR (stamped) brass/ceramic burner; reflector and all glasses. In fine, original condition. Barnby Dun station, on the Doncaster-Goole line, opened in 1866 and closed in 1967.

A Swansea & Mumbles Railway (could be Shropshire & Montgomery Railway) 3-aspect HANDLAMP, the body embossed "SMR". The reducing-cone bears a large oval brass maker's plate "Linley & Co 1905 Patentees & Manufacturers London & Birmingham". With its original fore & aft vessel with a brass plate underneath stamped "SMR"; brass/ceramic burner; reflector, and all glasses. In fine condition, and partially repainted. A rare lamp indeed. The Swansea & Mumbles Railway was renamed from the Oystermouth Railway in 1879, and closed in 1960.

Found on the scrap-heap at Swindon Works, it has the remnants of a Defries brass maker's plate on the chimney; a large clear bullseye lens; vessel; brass/ceramic burner with "GWR" on the burner-adjuster; and reflector. In original red paint, and in unrestored condition with a hole in the chimney cap. Filler cap missing.

A GWR Reform Patent 3-aspect HANDLAMP. The top is clearly embossed "GWR. Reform Patent". The reducing-cone bears a curved brass plate, embossed "Petroleum. Light Ten Minutes Before Using". Complete with vessel; "Reform Patent" brass/ceramic burner; reflector; wide brass lens bezel, and all glasses. In fine original condition. A very rare lamp indeed.

A LNER Goods Department HANDLAMP (GNR pattern). This unusual style of lamp, thought to have been used to read wagon labels, is stamped "LNER" on the reducing-cone and body, and bears a large brass rectangular plate lettered "London & North Eastern Railway BOSTON GDS.48". Complete with its original LNER (stamped) vessel; LNER (stamped) brass/ceramic burner; reflector and large front lens. In fine, original condition. Boston station, Lincolnshire, opened in 1848.

A Great Northern Railway large 3-aspect HANDLAMP. The body bears a brass plate "Great Northern Railway Company GANWICK SIG. BOX 2"; and a steel re-location plate "BATTLESBRIDGE", which partially obscures the number '2564' which also appears as "GNR.2564" on the reducing-cone. A double pie-crust top; copper lens cone; original type fore and aft vessel stamped "25018"; LNE brass/ceramic burner; reflector and all glasses. Painted green. Ganwick signal-box was just south of Potters Bar, and a popular location for East Coast Main Line photographers. Battlesbridge ex GER station is between Wickford and Woodham Ferrers in Essex. It opened in 1889.

A LNER (GNR pattern) early 3-aspect HANDLAMP. The body, stamped "LNER 10033", bears a rectangular brass plate "London & North Eastern Railway NETHERFIELD & COLWICK". The reducing-cone is stamped "L&NER 8905 and dated 12/24. Complete with its original "L&NER" (stamped) fore and aft vessel; brass/ceramic burner; reflector; copper lens cone and double pie-crust top. In original condition (one drum glass missing). Netherfield and Colwick station, on the Nottingham-Grantham line, opened as "Colwick in 1878, was renamed "Netherfield & Colwick" in 1883; "Netherfield" in 1901; "Netherfield & Colwick" again in 1925; "Netherfield" again in 1974.

The reducing-cone, also stamped "LB&SCR", carries a brass "B" (Brighton) plate. Complete with "S(B)R" vessel; SR brass/ceramic burner; reflector and all glasses. Repainted.

Hertford North station, on the loop from the ECML, opened in 1924 to replace an earlier station opened in 1858.

Complete with its "GCR"(stamped) vessel; LNE brass/ceramic burner, reflector, bullseye lens, ridged reducing-cone, brass knobs and all glasses. Repainted. One end of the top handle detached. Bulwell Common station, between New Basford and Hucknall Town, north of Nottingham, opened in 1899 and closed in 1963.

The body, stamped "GNR.12866", displays a large rectangular steel plate (covering a quarter of the lamp) stamped sideways "GNR Engineers Dept No.19 Gang. HOLTON LE CLAY". The reducing cone is also stamped "GNR 12866" and is dated 1889. Complete with its original vessel, also stamped "GNR 12866", brass/ceramic burner; reflector; copper lens-cone; double piecrust top and all glasses A rare handlamp with all three numbers matching, in fine, original condition. Holton Le Clay station, on the Grimsby-Louth line, opened as "Holton-Le-Clay And Tetney" in 1848; was later renamed "Holton-Le-Clay", and closed in 1955.
