Publisher. - A group of 4 views of St Petersburg, including Pont de Troizkoi, Place de l'Amirauté, Monument de Pierre le Grand, and Vue du Pont de L'Église d'Isaac, titled in Cyrillic and French, by or after Adam, Arnout, Bichebois, and Perrot, tinted lithographs, the first named with original hand-colouring and extensivly heightened with gum-arabic, each c.325 x 365mm., marginal surface dirt, the last named with some browning, Moscow and St Petersburg, mid 19th century; with an interior view of the residence of the Grand Duke Constantin, by Luigi Premazzi, tinted lithograph, 320 x 395mm., titled in Cyrillic, an indistinct contemporary ink signature, lower right, marginal tears, one extending into the image, surface dirt, mid 19th century; with 3 engraved views of St Petersburg, and 2 coloured lithographs of horse-drawn sleighs, from the series Attelages Russes, all by Velten of St Petersburg (10) Provenance: by descent from the collection of Dr Hektor Franz Josef von Arneth and his wife, Emma von Haurowiz, daughter of the physician in ordinary to Grand Duke Konstantin of Russia. Hektor von Arneth was first physician in ordinary to Grand Princess Helene of Russia, then appointed chief medical officer to the fleet when Konstantin was appointed admiral of the Russian navy.
