Old man plods along with basket, leaving footsteps in deep snow; toward house with snow on roof but a large portion of roof exposed; at right is venerable church; leafless trees; some dead branches fallen in storm; low brick walls alongside road. Original label verso. Image Size: 9.5 x 13.25 in. Overall Size: 17 x 20.75 in.

Time staining to the paper throughout with the odd small sporadic spot of foxing. Shiny area within the lower left hand corner with a grubby thumb mark above this. Surface indentation to upper left of centre within the shape next to the purple flower. Stuck to the backboard but unframed
