AFTER HENRY GRITTEN "The Eastern Market from the top of Whittington Tavern" colour lithograph by J.P. PHILP printed and published by Charles Trowdell, Melbourne office, 73 Collins Street East together with further lithographs from the same series including "View on Eastern Hill from Halfway House, Albert Street", "Flinders Street from Melbourne Railway Station", "Nicholson Street, Fitzroy", "Bourke Street East 1863", "Collins Street", "Swanston Street", "Elizabeth Street" (by various other artists). Eight in total (plates from the Melbourne album 1863 - 1864) CONDITION REPORTS All appear to have had some restoration / cleaning throughout. Areas of foxing, discolouration, etc. Some have significantly more damage. "View on Eastern Hill " appears to have some scratch marks. "Elizabeth Street" has a large area of rubbing and there appear to be significant water marks to the left hand side. Thunderbugs etc beneath the glass. In need of a good clean.
