KÖHLER August (1881 Stuttgart - 1964 ebd.) "Bodenseestimmung" Blick auf den See mit Holzpfählen, Steg mit kleinen Hütten, im Hintergrund ein Segelboot dahinter die Berge, Ölgemälde auf Leinwand, links unten signiert, 46,5x59,5cm, R *Köhler war als praktischer Lithograph tätig, anschließend besuchte er bis 1912 die Stuttgarter Akademie unter Robert Pötzelberger, Christian Landenberger und Robert von Haug. Die Akademie verlieh ihm 1912 die Goldmedaille. Gemälde Köhlers wurden u. a. auf Ausstellungen im Münchener Glaspalast 1910, auf der Großen Kunstausstellung 1911 in Düsseldorf und auf der Großen Kunstausstellung in Berlin 1912 gezeigt. Auch auf der Großen Kunstausstellung in Stuttgart 1913 war er vertreten.*
