In 1987, the vendor and the artist organised an exhibition to raise awareness for Survival International with a focus on Aboriginal land rights, held successfully at the Old Fire Station, Oxford. Mishima Go (1921-81),Gashu Wakamono (Book of Pictures of Young Men),the portfolio containing twenty-four lithographs, 1972, published by Daini Shobo, Japan,each sheet 420 x 290mmTsuyoshi Mishima, who worked under the name of Go Mishima, was one of the first contemporary gay artists in Japan. He contributed to 'Barazoku' (The Rose Tribe), the first gay magazine published by Daini Shobo in Tokyo in 1971. In 1974, Mishima founded his own gay magazine called 'Sabu'. He created a series of 24 lithograph portraits titled 'Mishima Go Book of Young Men'.Condition report: Cardboard case damaged with tears. Cover page and preface page with tears and damages.
