Still life colored lithograph by Ira Moskowitz, it is hand signed int the lower right. It is titled "Flower Banquet" verso and numbered lower left 13 / 200. Ira Moskowitz was born in Galicia, Poland in 1912, emigrating with his family to New York in 1927. He enrolled at the Art Student's League and studied there from 1928-31. Moskowitz received a Guggenheim fellowship (in 1943). While Moskowitz devoted much of his life to the production of Judaic art, his New Mexico period was especially productive of other work. His New Mexico art consists mostly of "Regionalist" subjects depicting both the New Mexico landscape and life within the state's three cultures. Sight size: 27 x 36 in. Overall size: 35 x 44 in. Navajo lithograph by R.C. Gorman, signed in pencil in the lower left and numbered 210/224 in the lower right. Born in Canyon de Chelly, Arizona and raised in a hogan on the Navajo Reservation, R.C. Gorman became one of the Southwest's best known late 20th-century artists. His signature works were Navajo women in a variety of poses. This is an original single- sided lithograph he did in black ink for a book about bullfighting (Toreros). The lithograph is titled “Jeu de la Cape “ and dated June 3, 1961 (6.3.61 III) in the margin on the lower left, and the drawings for the book were printed by the Mourlot Studios in Paris. The plate was professionally cleaned by Cristian Stakenborg of Stakenborg Galleries in Sarasota. The mat is 15 x 20 in. wide and the plate size is 9 5/8 x 12 1/2 in. wide.
