DECORATED BRIDE'S BOX. Bentwood with laced seams. The lid has a handcolored decoupaged lithograph of a couple under an arch with Psyche & Cupid. The rest of the box has colorful hand painted flowers on an orange/red ground. Branded on the bottom SH in a heart. Minor damage and a repaired split in the lid. 12 1/4 x 18 1/4. 7 1/4h.

The couple in the sleigh are supposed to be Nathaniel Currier and his wife, Laura. Wide margins with minor darkening around the edges.
