Biedermeier-Rahmen.Die Widmungen beziehen sich auf die Oper "Die ägyptische Helena" von Strauss, deren Uraufführung am 6.6.1928 in der Staatsoper in Dresden stattfand und bei der Jung "Die alles wissende Muschel" sang.Der ausgebildete Maler und Grafiker Leonhard Fanto schuf ab 1902 an der Dresdener Oper die Bühnenbilder und die Kostüme der Neuinszenierungen, wodurch er auch Strauss gut kannte. Mit der in Dresden uraufgeführten "Salomé" läutete Strauss 1905 das moderne Musiktheater des 20. Äußerst seltene Folge ohne Gesamttitel, aber alle zwanzig Darstellungen bezeichnet; fünf der zehn Doppelblätter mit der Angabe "bei Buchner in Nürnberg". - Jeweils zwei Darstellungen auf einem Doppelblatt, verso unbedruckt. - Zu sehen sind die berühmten Kunstreiter Ferdinand und Louis Tourniaire, Wilhelm Salamonsky und Frau und Herr Ghelia, außerdem einige Artisten mit Künstlernamen oder anonyme Dompteure. - Der Künstler und Lithograph Georg Paul Buchner (1779-1833), seit 1816 als Lithograph und Landkartenhändler konzessioniert, hat die von ihm vertriebenen Lithographien meist nach eigenen Zeichnungen hergestellt; "später illustrierte Buchner aktuelle lokale Ereignisse wie Königsbesuche, militärische Übungen, Theateraufführungen, Pferderennen und Kriminalfälle. ... Die Seltenheit erhaltener Drucke, dazu stilistische und qualitative Schwankungen erschweren die Zusammenstellung und Aufteilung eigenhändiger Werke und von ihm nur verlegter Lithographien anderer Zeichner. ... Nach seinem Tod firmierte seine Firma als G. P. Buchners Witwe und Söhne" (Grieb, Nürnberger Künstlerlexikon I, 196). - Unbeschnitten. - Ein Blatt mit hinterlegtem Einriss, teils etwas stärker gebräunt bzw. wasserrandig, fleckig.
