A series of 19th century hand painted lithograph etchings - prints to include Oriole, Bee Eaters and other birds, some with marks for Fullerton & Co London & Edinburgh together with Antelope, Zebu and horses again with marks for Fullerton, Crododile and LIzards, Whale, Seals and Dolphin & Porpoise etc and also a tiger print. Largest Frame measures 61 cm x 53 cm.
Louis Haghe (Belgian 1806-1855) after David Roberts RA (1796-1864) The Siege and Destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans Under the Command of Titus, A.D. 70 Signed in pencil by Roberts and Haghe on mount, and with Hering and Remington blindstamp Coloured lithograph 69.5 x 106.5cm; 27¼ x 42in Provenance: Shapiro, Grays Antiques, London, where purchased by the present owner This print is after the original oil painting by David Roberts exhibited at the R.A. in 1849, no. 290. Having been so well received, Roberts turned to Haghe to produce a print of his painting, and this is one of the original versions, printed without the title, and signed by both artist and lithographer.
