A Second World War ''Greece Fights On'' Poster, designed by Edward McKnight Kauffer, depicting the Greek flag backed by the head of a Greek soldier, offset lithograph, approximately 80cm by 60cm, in a glazed oak frame (produced by the Greek Office of Information in 1942 for circulation in the United States to remind Americans of the war being fought in Greece) . Does not appear to have been stuck down, some fold marks and rippling to the paper. Small tears to the upper right edge in the margin.

The design features a lithograph by Andre Planson (1898-1981), showing a nude woman with black hair wearing an unbuttoned white blouse, reclining on a pink chair and eating a yellow fruit. Text is below the image in orange, red and black. The Salon du Dessin et de la Peinture a l’Eau was founded in 1949 and held annual exhibitions in Paris, featuring works in a variety of paper-based medium including pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, watercolour and gouache.
