Richard Quain's The Anatomy Of The Arteries Of The Human Body printed for Taylor And Walton - A collection of 19th Century 31x large coloured lithograph anatomical and surgical plates illustrated by Joseph Maclise to include two later large coulored lithograph plates of eczema rubrum from the book 1889 venereal and skin disease atlas. One plate having library stamp for Middlesex hospital. Measures 63cm x 46cm.
William Hunter - The Anatomy Of The Human Gravid Uterus ( 1851 ) - A collection / series of 23x large lithograph anatomical and surgical plates. Originally published in 1774 in Birmingham by John Baskerville (only one of two medical books from the famous press), the plates depict the life-size gravid uterus. The collection having some duplicates. Measures 63cm x 46cm.
19th-century prospect of Birmingham by Henry Burn, printed by C. F. Cheffins, lithograph, published July 1845 by Thomas Simpson, Wolverhampton. The picture shows a view across fields with Birmingham's smoking chimneys on the horizon, figures in the foreground with shotguns and milk pails, watering cattle. Dedicated 'To the Inhabitants of the Borough of Birmingham, This View of the Town from Highgate Fields, is respectfully dedicated by their obedient servant, The Publisher'. Mounted on canvas stretcher and presented in maple veneer frame. 56cm x 46cm.

Original Edwardian Ocean Liner Travel Poster / Advertising / Midland Railway / Scottish Interest: 'The Tour For You by Royal Route Steamers through the Western Highlands and Islands of Scotland', colour lithographic poster, c.1910-1920, bearing original sticker: 'To Join these Steamers take Midland Railway Tickets to Glasgow (St. Enoch) or Greenock (Princes Pier)'. Published by McCorquodale & Co. Limited, Glasgow and London. The poster includes a 'Midland Railway Authorised for Exhibition' stamp at upper-right. 97cm x 59cm. Together with another Edwardian Scottish travel poster, 'To See the Land o' Burns Travel by the Midland & G.&S.W. Railways, the Only Direct Route' (depicting poet Robert Burns standing over a map of Scotland), colour lithograph published by Andrew Reid & Company Ltd, 50 Grey Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne. 98cm x 62cm. Both posters exceptionally vibrant for age, the Burns poster a/f with loss. Each poster has been professionally mounted/backed with linen incorporating archival/conservation materials.
