He then studied painting at the Royal College of Art from 1958-61 where he was awarded his A.R.C.A. After graduation, he taught part-time in various art schools before taking up an appointment as Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Manchester Polytechnic in 1975. He remained in Manchester until he retired as Head of the School of Painting and Printmaking in the Faculty of Art & Design at Manchester University in 2000.Additional InformationCrease through the centre of the image, also a crease lower right, the border is slightly browning in colour, also a small crease lower centre running horizontally to the border. We cannot remove from the frame without potential damage to the image.  The creases are quite severe, especially the central example, there limited edition number is very faint, the creases and folds throughout are severe, there is light scratches, there is a blemish to the middle right of the image. There is foxing to the mount also.

After graduation, he taught part-time in various art schools before taking up an appointment as Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Manchester Polytechnic in 1975.
