A German tinplate child's gramophone, early 20th century, with colour lithograph printed decoration and an assortment of records. CONDITION REPORT: The mechanism does wind but the speed cannot be accurately controlled. The mechanism once wound up simply winds down. The resonator is a harmony clarity beauty sound box which appears to be free from any cracks or faults. The body of the piece has brown spotting all around the upper section of the base and a few minor surface scratches but the colour lithophane all appears to be good. There is a celluloid dancing figure that has come away from its base. There are numerous records with this lot. In our opinion it needs a professional overhaul.
