She became renowned for her joyously coloured still-lifes which revealed not only her pleasure in objects and the decoration of her home, but also her technical prowess. These often featured items from the artist’s own collection of vases, ceramics and fabrics carefully and considerately arranged to their most decorative advantage.

Late 19th century, playing 12 airs on a 33cm cylinder, with a handwritten and lithograph tune sheet and tune indicator, the case with transfer decoration, height 19.5cm, width 70cm, depth 31cm.The box winds and plays at the time of cataloguing, there is evidence of woodworm in the case.
