Er ist bärtig mit und trägt einen großem Schlapphut, das Gesicht ist dem Betrachter zugewandt und er blickt ihn an. Sehr genau und realistisch gearbeitet. Unten rechts signiert, Verso mit Ausstelleretikett und einem Etikett mit Informationen zum Künstler. Maße: Rahmen ca. 73,5 x 60 cm, Bildmaß ca. 59,5 x 47 cm. Sehr guter Erhaltungszustand, mit leichten Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Adolf Günther war Lithograph in Berlin und zwischen 1840 und 1860 öfters auf Ausstellungen vertreten.

Henry Cliffe (1919-1983) Untitled, 1952 signed in pencil (lower right) lithograph 51 x 70cm. Anthony Curtis was an artist born in Wakefield, Yorkshire, and then went on to study at Loughborough College, and Bath Academy of Art in Corsham in 1952. At this time he was taught by many seminal artists of the 20th Century, including Terry Frost, Bryan Wynter, Peter Lanyon and Kenneth Armitage. He exhibited his work at the Daily Express Young Artist’s Exhibition in 1957 and was included in Jack Beddington’s Young Artists of Promise. He went on to have one man shows at Bear Lane Gallery, Oxford in 1959. The paintings offered in this timed auction come from the artist's estate and are mainly works from the 50s and 60s. They are heavily influenced by his St Ives School tutors and many were painted on his frequent visits to Terry Frost and Peter Lanyon in Cornwall.

This outstanding color lithograph was made with over 20 colors, a technique that Theo Tobiasse developed in the early 1980s in France. It represents a group of tubular women encircling a large still life with fruits and a cart filled with nude individuals in the distance. Tobiasse bypassed the laws of perspective and used colors in an expressive style that conveys an ethereal moment.
