A pair of Dresden porcelain figural candelabra, together with a Dresden porcelain vase decorated with a whippet CONDITION REPORTS Please note that one of the Candelabra is very broken - the sconces are now in pieces and with losses. Both have some chips and losses including to floral and foliate decoration, part of boy's hand broken off and missing, some of the branches broken off and re-glued. Whippet decorated vase has various chips and losses to applied decoration, greyhound leg broken and re-glued and some re-modelling and over-painting, crack to base. Height of candelabra approx 45 cm, height of whippet vase approx 21 cm.

Meister, a German soldier and botanist, records locations he visited as an employee of the Dutch East India Company in Japan and the Far East. The plates include a number of botanical interest and 2 of Japanese characters.
