**A FINE GERMAN SWORD-RAPIER WITH BLACKENED IRON HILT, LATE 16TH CENTURY, PROBABLY SAXON with robust blade of flattened-diamond section (a small portion of the tip ground down), stamped with a pi mark on the reverse of the forte, fitted with blackened iron rain-guard with roped lower border, blackened iron hilt comprising a pair of slightly arched quillons of low-triangular section with reinforced arrow-shaped terminals, outer ring-guard formed en suite with the quillons, large ovoid pommel formed with four faces, and fishskin-covered grip (small losses) bound by four vertical iron bars with a shaped iron collar top and bottom, and brass inventory tag `A2` 93 cm; 36 1/2 in blade Swords with hilts of related form are preserved in the former Imperial Armoury, Vienna (inv. no. 3849), the former Ducal Arsenal, Brunswick, the Deutsches Historisches Museum, Berlin, and the Danish Royal Collection (Rosenborg no. 6). A significant number were ordered for the court of Christian II in Dresden between 1591 and 1611, more than thirty of which were still recorded there in 1923. Twin handled tray : scratches to enamel, plus repaired damage to one of the handles, general wear and tear. Pot : damage in form of large chip/loss to one of the handles, plus small scratches. Cat wall pocket : possible small re-painted section to neck of one of the cats, some small scratches. Cherub ornament : all over dirty, with white paint to one arm. Bisque dolls : loss to part of one of the bonnets, fingers are rough to touch. Frog vase : hairline crack running from mouth down to shoulder, black mark on head, brown mark on leg, all over various scratches, etc. Floral teacup and saucer : some cracks to leaves, saucer has been repaired and re-painted at some point, various losses to paint, other cracks, etc. Cat decorated cup and saucer : assorted wear to paint and decoration, rim has rough sections to touch. Cake stand : crazing all over, assorted fine scratches, chip to foot, etc.
A Susie Cooper bone china `Clematis` pattern part service decorated with pink banding, comprising teapot and cover (spout chipped), hot water pot and cover, milk jug, sugar bowl, cake plate, five cups and saucers and six plates, another Susie Cooper teacup and saucer, together with a Wedgwood black and white jasper jar and cover with acorn finial and mask handles (repaired), four Coalport teacups and saucers and a Dresden cup and saucer.
