Meissen: a nineteenth century hand-painted topographical vase with flared rim, with cartouche of view of Dresden to the front showing the port, sailing boats, workmen and the city to the fore, within gilt rococo borders on navy ground, other cartouches with hand-painted floral sprays and insects, gilt rim details, blue crossed swords mark to base, 12in high, (NB the top damaged a/f, crack to rim, and large crack/break to base restored)

Geschoffen. und find die ftangen noch davon 3(z?)u Berlin 3(z?)u fehen.", oil on canvas, 54cm by 63.5cm (21in by 25in) *This famous stag, whose head was originally in the collection of Schloss Moritzburg near Dresden, was extremely well known to German Hunters and his sixty six points to the antlers, which is unprecedented in the deer world. It was shot by Kurfurst Friederich III of Brandenburg, later King Friederich, the First of Prussia. Eventually it was given to the Kurfurst of Saxony and ended up at Moritzburg where the collection may still be displayed but it may now be on display near Hamburg
A Dresden biscuit porcelain pagoda figure, late 19th/early 20th century, based on the Meissen model, modelled as a cross-legged gentleman wearing pale-blue clothing with gilt enrichments and foliate decoration, his articulated hands and head balancing balls on detachable rods, unmarked, 23cm, 9in. high, minor damage and repair, (4)
A Minton porcelain 'Rococo revival' two-handled 'Dresden vase' and pierced cover, painted with two panels of figures in eighteenth century rustic dress, titled WINTER and SUMMER, reserved on a dark-blue-ground with butterscotch and gilt foliate scroll rocaille borders, the cover surmounted with a putto with floral garland, 43cm high, circa 1835. Cf. Joan Jones, Minton, (1993), page 82 and Masterpieces of Minton, Bonhams, 23rd July 2002, lot 35 for a similar version of this vase.
