Ein siebenbürgisches, ebenfalls mit Türkisen besetztes Exemplar befindet sich in der "Türckischen Cammer" der Rüstkammer in Dresden. The surface entirely covered with turquoise cabochons (a few small stones have been lost). Length 53 cm.Originally from the Ottoman Empire, these fabulous maces were carried by military leaders as ceremonial insignia, with similar shaped maces also being used in Poland and Russia. A Transylvanian mace, also set with turquoises, can be found in the Türckische Cammer (Turkish Chamber) of the armoury in Dresden.Condition: II +

Attributed to Ernst Heinrich Barlach (Germany, 1870-1938) - An early 20th century circa 1907 untinted plaster gesso figure of woman with child (Bettlerin mit Kind) by Expressionist sculptor Ernst Barlach. Signed E. Barlach to right side of base. Measures approx. 35cm x 26cm x 32cm. The sculptures from 1906 -1908 mark the first highlight in the work of the sculptor Ernst Barlach. “Beggar Woman with Child” is the most important work in dealing with the impressions of the trip to Russia. The artist had already sketched figures and scenes of everyday life during his years of study in Hamburg, Dresden and Paris, but it was only a two-month trip through southern Russia in 1906 that led him away from the artistic goals of Art Nouveau, which had strongly influenced his early work. Even without knowledge of the customs and customs as well as the language, in the Russian villages and small towns, which were characterized by a latent revolutionary mood, the mood and intensity of the feelings of the ordinary people, which became familiar to the taciturn North German, were communicated to him. Fassung) Katzen am Fenster Erna Lincke, Dresden", Darstellung 45 x 49,5 cm, Ausschnitt 47,5 x 50,5 cm, 1933, sichtbar sehr guter Zustand, sauber modern gerahmt und verglast (Plexiglas) (71 x 75 cm) 5404 Der Farbdruck wiederholt exakt das Motiv eines 1933 entstandenen Gemäldes als Glasdruck, bei dieser seltenen Technik wird das Motiv spiegelverkehrt auf eine Glasplatte aufgebracht und anschließend in feuchtem Zustand gedruckt, hierbei ergeben sich naturgemäß bei jedem Farbauftrag und Abzug teils deutliche Unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen Fassungen, was die in dieser Technik erstellten Werke zwischen das Gemälde und den vervielfältigten Druck stellt Im vergangenen Jahr zeigte das Albertinum in Wien eine Ausstellung mit Werken Erna Linckes, hier wurde u.a. auch das Gemälde "Katzen am Fenster" gezeigt und ihr Schaffen wie folgt charakterisiert: "Als freischaffende Künstlerin entwickelte sie ab 1927, ausgehend von Prinzipien der Collage und des Kubismus, eine eigenständige Stilposition. Sie schafft eine Synthese aus realistischer Gegenstandsschilderung einerseits und der Abstraktion mit einem Eigenwert von Farbe und Form andererseits.
