Kraft Durch Freude dated 06/04/1933; several maps and route cards for the motorists’ organisation Der Deutsche Automobil-Club DDAC – Hannover-Hamburg, Dirschau-Königsberg, Magdeburg-Herzberg; two leaflets Taschenbuch des Deutschen Flotten-Vereins für die Jugend for 1933 and 1934, a restaurant wine menu dated July 1932; advertising leaflet for list of Gasthaus accommodation in Landstuhl; two permission to move forms Antrag auf Genehmigung des Zuzugs nach München; an Internationaler Zulassungsschein dated 09/09/1937.

Printed letter announcing the Elector's journey to Frankfurt to participate in the election of a new emperor, 2pp., text in German, paper seal, folds, lightly browned, Dresden, 9th February, 1658; and 5 others, similar, German , 18th and 19th centuries, including advice on measures to combat cattle disease, v.s. (7)⁂ The first mentioned forbids trade in grain with Hungary and Croatia without proper documentation in order to prevent grain falling into the hands of the Turkish enemy.

ALFRED VON WIERUSZ-KOWALSKI (1849-1915) A BEDOUIN CAMP BY MOONLIGHT signed l.r. A Wierusz-Kowalski oil on canvas 35.5 x 56.0cm / 14 x 22in Provenance: Nadeau's Auction Gallery, Windsor, Connecticut, 1st January 2019, Lot 460 Estate of Stanislaw & Anita Milewski, of Manchester, Connecticut Lipert Gallery, New York Alfred Jan Maksymilian Kowalski was a Polish-born painter of the Munich School. He studied first in Warsaw and then at the Academy in Dresden before settling in Munich under the tutorship of Alexander Wagner. Here he developed his style, coming in to his own when he began to paint depictions of Caucasian warriors in the 1880's, using props borrowed from the workshop of Józef Brandt (a fellow student, a few years ahead of him). In the 1890's Wierusz-Kowalski began to paint the subjects for which he is best known: huntsmen with their hounds and sleighs, and wolves, either in packs or alone. The present work likely dates from his visit to North Africa in 1903.

A pair of Derby figures of 'The Dresden Shepherds': the shepherdess wearing a puce coat, patterned yellow skirt and holding flowers in her skirt, a lamb below, the shepherd holding a basket of fruit in the crook of his left arm, a dog seated at his feet, both on rococo scroll mound bases applied with flowers and foliage, patch marks, circa 1760-65, 23 cm [minor restoration].*Note Cf. A 19TH CENTURY JOHN BEVINGTON PORCELAIN FIGURE GROUP IN THE STYLE OF DRESDEN, modelled as a female nude seated on a florally encrusted rock, with two putti at her feet, on a scrolled base with gilt detail, bears JB monogram and crossed swords in blue to the underside, restored, height approximately 42cm (condition: extensive professional restoration throughout the piece, some nibbles to petals of floral encrusting)
A pair of late 19th century Dresden porcelain vases and covers, each panel decorated with alternating reserves of courtship scenes and floral sprays, against a turquoise ground, all framed within gilt borders, with crossed sword marks verso (one badly cracked and the other with restoration round rim and finial), h.51cm. Both vases with cracks.One with restoration to rim and finial.
